Springs since 1980

Established in 1980, Jousiteos specialises in manufacturing springs for the metalworking industry. From the outset, we have operated as a family-run business, which is reflected in our strong commitment and customer-oriented service. Our factory locations, in Tuusula and Hirvensalmi, have good transport connections.

12/1980

Vantaan Jousiteos Oy is established, in the Sotunki district of Vantaa. The founders are Oiva Ojala, Yrjö Paananen, and Rauno Nylund.

1986

Operations move to Hyrylä. The name of the company changes to OP-Jousiteos Oy.

1994

About 800 m2 of production and storage space is acquired in Hyrylä.

1999

OP-Jousiteos Oy acquires Jousi Bake’s production machines.

2001

The first CNC machines are commissioned.

3/2006

Oiva Ojala retires, and Markku Ojala takes over as the managing director and owner.

2009

The name of the company changes to Jousiteos Oy.

9/2015

Jousiteos Oy acquires Meta-jousi Oy’s operations and moves some of them to Hirvensalmi.

10/2015

Artjärven Laatujousi’s wire spring operations are transferred to Jousiteos.

12/2015

Joonas Ojala acquires a share in the company.

10/2017

The Hirvensalmi unit moves to larger premises, with an area of 1,000 m².

4/2018

The Hirvensalmi unit commissions its Wafios FSE143 XL machine, the only one of its kind in Finland. This machine has the capacity to produce even 20-millimetre-thick wire.
